BioSome time ago, a while back, a group of four friends started getting together on a regular basis for the purpose of gaming. It was the third such attempt for them, but this time it stuck for longer than 2-3 sessions. Perhaps that could be related to the fact that this time they threw out the rule books and just had fun with it.
Now, with encouragement from other friends, we bring to you tales of the adventures we are continuing to create much later. It is an ongoing story, and updating from the current point in the story would be easier on us, as the storytellers; however, we decided that the story would be easier to follow if we gave more of the backstory first. So, we will be starting quite some time ago, hopefully working our way closer to more current adventures.
How this will work:
Except for this post (and possibly the occasional future admin posts, which should be rare), all top-level posts will be posted as or about a character -- in particular, Mayara, Hemlock, Rask, or God (posting as himself or possibly as one of the ever-growing cast of extras). The main player characters (and Gran and Spackle) will be briefly introduced before we continue with the story, with future characters and places described as they enter the story. The characters will respond to each others posts on occasion, adding a bit of their personalities (and our interactions which make the making of these stories so much fun) outside of the story itself.
We will be using a single username for four posters for the purposes of this journal, so posts will be identified by the userpic (or lack thereof) and post title. Links in the navigation bar in the recent entries view will link to posts in which characters were introduced or major events took place. These, and probably others, will also be tracked as memories.
Finally, a bit of warning: these stories developed from the minds of four 20-30-somethings with the sole intended purpose of entertaining themselves. Yes, we are now sharing them with the world, but they were not intended for all audiences. You have been warned.
